Maharashtra State Mining Corporation ltd. (MSMC), Vidarbha Economic Development Council (VED) and MM Active has organized 2 ^nd edition of MINCON 2022- a three-day event on Mines, Minerals and Metals from October 14 to 16, 2022 at Chitnavis Centre, Civil Lines, Nagpur, Maharashtra. The event was supported by the Government of Maharashtra and Micro Small and Medium Enterprises, Govt. of lndia and Maharashtra Economic Development Council(MEDC).

Shri Pralhad Joshi Ji, Hon’ble Minister of Coal, Mines & Parliamentary Affairs, Government of India was the “CHIEF GUEST” of the inaugural Function of the event on October 14, 2022. Shri Devendra Fadnavis Ji, Deputy Chief Minister of Government of Maharashtra as “Guest of Honour”. Shri Nitin Ji Gadkari, Hon’ble Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Government of India was presiding over the event. Shri Narayan Rane Ji, Hon’ble Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Gov. of India was also the “Chief Guest” of the Vendor Development event of MINCON 2022 on 16th October 2022.

MINCON, India’s leading event devoted to the mining, minerals and metals industry, has provided a platform for business leaders, CEOs, consultants, senior government officials, decision-makers, and trade delegations to network, share ideas, showcase their technology, and create lasting business relationships. A number of sessions, including the Conference cum Expo, CEO Conclave, B2B meetings, Award Ceremony and vendor Development program, was held during the course of the event’s three days.

The Expo also hosted a trade fair with leading Mining Equipment & Machinery Manufacturers, Minerals Rich Indian States and PSU’s, Large Corporates and Small and Medium Organizations where they have showcased cutting-edge technologies and fresh research concepts that has highlighted the industry’s present and future potential.

Mr. Anand Sancheti, Managing Director- SMS Limited Nagpur, Maharashtra has been awarded with MINCON Star Award at the MINCON 2022 Inaugural ceremony by Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Government of India and Shri Pralhad Joshi, Hon’ble Minister of Coal, Mines & Parliamentary Affairs, Government of India for his contribution in mining Industry. (Under his leadership, SMS group is the only company operating highly mechanized underground mines extracting coal & other minerals including atomic minerals and has introduced new technologies & low investment mechanization.)

Mr. Nirbhay Sancheti, Director – SMS Limited Nagpur, Maharashtra has delivered a presentation at the conference on Digitization and Innovations to improve Mining Efficiency. The focused area of presentation was on what is innovation in mining, automation happening in mining industry worldwide and what stage we are at today. Digitization and technology adapted by SMSL was also presented during the presentation.
